Twenty men in the Chicago area have been selected from hundreds of nominations and applicants to compete for the title of “One Man Chicago.” On Thursday, Sept. 2, at the Harris Theatre in Millennium Park, one of the men will be chosen as “One Man Chicago”—the man who represents the best of the city from the perspectives of community involvement, personality, intelligence and fitness.

Through Monday, Aug. 30, any adult can vote for a semifinalist and his affiliated charity by visiting www.OneManChicago.com. There will also be a series of four “Meet the Men” cocktail parties throughout the city.

Semifinalists include Bryan Herb (Center on Halsted), Matt Matros (Common Threads), Terrence Chappell (Chicago Public Schools Arts Education) and James Goeke (Vital Bridges). The City of Chicago’s Michael Segobiano, The Men’s Book’s Matt Lee and Selective Search’s Barbie Adler are among the judges.
