The Chicago Department of Public Health (CDPH) is inviting people to nominate individuals for the 2010 CDPH World AIDS Day Hope & Spirit Award. World AIDS Day—which celebrates the progress made during the epidemic and brings into focus the remaining challenges—is commemorated around the globe Dec. 1.

This year the CDPH World AIDS Day Hope & Spirit Award will honor three community individuals (one award will be reserved for a youth) living, working and/or volunteering to fight HIV/AIDS in Chicago.

This year’s Chicago World AIDS Day theme is “get REAL get CARE.”
