Rally in Grant Park

Accompanying Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert’s Rally to Restore Sanity and/or Fear, which took place in the nation’s capital, Chicago held its own version of the event Oct. 20 in Grant Park, despite procedural snags involving permits that threatened to cancel the event. Chicago’s Chemically Imbalanced Comedy’s Angie McMahon started the event with a Facebook post in support of the D.C. rally. Thousands attended the Grant Park rally in addition to the estimated 200,000 who went to Stewart and Colbert’s event. Photos by Sigmund Burdin
