Local openly gay artist Jason Messenger has a lot more than his signature tiles at his art store (www.zazzle.com/JasonMessingerArt). There are many innovative gifts, ranging from onesies for babies to eye-catching sneakers to “Bromance with Benefits” T-shirts.
It’s in the bag
1154 Lill Studio (www.1154lill.com) offers a range of custom handbags, handily arranged according to cost ($50 and under; $100 and under; and $150 and under) or style (e.g., “The Girl on the Go”). However, if you’re not sure what your recipient will like, you can either go the gift-certificate route (which seems safest to me) or even purchase a design-a-bag kit.
Remembering Keith
The artist/activist Keith Haring may be gone, but his legacy lives on, thanks in part to online stores such as the Keith Haring Store (www.pop-shop.com). Among the items available are buttons, sweatshirts, calendars, caps and even beverage containers.
Tee, myself and I
Tees by Tina (www.teesbytina.com; $25-$48) claims to do what many may feel is impossible after the holidays: flatter your figure. The company sells tanks, camisoles and, of course, T-shirts that feel so good, according to its press release, “you won’t want to take off these tops since they feel so soft and yummy.” Looking at the photos, I can’t disagree with the claim—and I won’t touch that quotation, either.
