Felix Da Housecat will perform at the Chicago nightclub The Mid, 306 N. Halsted, on Saturday, Jan. 22, for React Presents’ Control Saturdays. Felix is stopping by the venue after a recent world tour in support of his new album, He Was King.
Felix was a fixture during Chicago’s second wave of house music in the ’90s, but his new CD is more electronic pop. The Mid is at the former site of The Generator, a prominent gay Black dance club in the ’90s. It then became Rive and, subsequently, the New Generator. For more, see www.themidchicago.com.
