The 2011 show spans 1.2 million sq. ft. of the complex. There will be multiple world and North American introductions and a complete range of domestic and imported passenger cars and trucks; sports-utility vehicles, experimental and concept cars. In all, approximately 1,000 different vehicles will be on display, plus hundreds of interactive, aftermarket, accessories and auto-related exhibits, competition vehicles, antique and collector cars.
On Feb. 10, the show’s black-tie event, First Look for Charity, will benefit 18 Chicago-area charities, and is expected to raise approximately $2 million. Now in its 20th year, the black-tie affair will include hors d’oeuvres, champagne, wine, soft drinks and desserts. In 2011, First Look for Charity will also offer up the chance to win one of two new vehicles—a 2011 Hyundai Sonata and at 2011 Honda CR-Z.
Show hours are 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Feb. 11-19, and 10 a.m.-8 p.m. on the final day, Feb. 20. Regular admission for adults aged 13 and older is $11; for seniors aged 62 and older and for children ages 7-12, regular admission is $7. See www.ChicagoAutoShow.com.
