LGBT law conference in Chicago March 4-5
The Chicago-Kent Lambdas is hosting an LGBT civil-rights conference March 4-5 at the Chicago-Kent School of Law, 565 W. Adams.
Forums will cover subjects such as transgender rights; hate crimes and bullying; the history of criminalization; elder law; and marriage-equality legislation. There will also be an opening and closing reception (sponsored by, respectively, Hinshaw & Culbertson and Goldberg, Weisman & Cairo.
Activist Art Johnston, owner of Sidetrack and a co-founder of Equality Illinois, will deliver the keynote address at the conference’s opening reception at 6 p.m. on March 4 at the Michael Lew Gallery, 415 S. Sangamon.
