Japanese American Service Committee sets up Japanese Support Groups Thoughout Chicago and Suburbs

March 16, 2011 CHICAGO — The Japanese American Service Committee (JASC) has set up Japan Earthquake Relief Support Groups throughout Chicago and the suburbs in response to the 8.9 magnitude earthquake and subsequent tsunami that has ravaged northern Japan. As an organization that is known as a leader within the Japanese American Community, our members and staff felt it necessary to assist those Japanese speaking inviduals who are experiencing anxiety or grief from losses abroad in the Chicagoland area. All counselors are licensed therapists who speak fluent Japanese.
