The 10th annual Chicago Palestine Film Festival will take place at the Gene Siskel Film Center, 164 N. State, April 15-27.
The opening reception will take place at the center April 15 at 6:30 p.m. Award-winning director Elia Suleiman will present his newest film, The Time That Remains, on closing night at 7:45 p.m.
Among the films being shown this year is City of Borders, directed by Yun Suh. The 66-minute movie looks patrons of the Shushan, a gay bar on the east/west border of the Jerusalem, “where people of opposing nationalities, religions and sexual orientations create a community among people typically viewed as each other’s ‘enemy,’ according to the film fest’s website. It will be shown Sunday, April 24, at 8 p.m.
