Howard Brown Health Center (HBHC) has announced the appointment of healthcare management and clinical operations leader David Grazman, MPP, Ph.D., as HBHC’s senior vice president and chief operating officer. HBHC has also named experienced not-for-profit accountant Lowell Raven, CPA, as its controller.
Grazman’s experience includes roles as the executive director of Heartland Health Outreach, a health program of the Heartland Alliance for Human Needs and Human Rights, and as a professor of healthcare administration and public policy at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.
As for Grazman recently leaving the alliance, Heartland Alliance President the Rev. Dr. Sid Mohr emailed Windy City Times that “Grazman did not complete his employment provisional period.”
“Dr. Grazman brings with him significant insight and a unique skill set to Howard Brown Health Center that will promote and advance effectiveness and efficiency among our staff and in our services. Together we will continue our current and planned enhancements to improve our patient and client satisfaction and ensure we deliver the best possible care and support to those who have chosen Howard Brown Health Center for their health and wellness needs,” said Jamal Edwards, HBHC president/CEO.
Raven joins Howard Brown Health Center after serving as a certified public accountant for more than 23 years, gaining experience with both public and private industry accounting.
