—Violet Tendencies (on DVD May 24) : The Facts of Life’s Natalie (Mindy Cohn), all grown up, plays Violet—the “last fag hag in Manhattan”—who is looking for love and, in turn, enlivens this film from writer-director Casper Andreas. As with all of Andreas’ movies, there is plenty of buff male eye candy—such as the eternally gorgeous Marcus Patrick and Adrian Armas—to add to the romantic complications. Kim Allen is a standout as one of Cohn’s co-workers, Salome.

—Unicorn Booty (www.unicornbooty.com) : Although the name may make you think of a mythological porn movie, Unicorn Booty—helmed by Nick Vivion and Kevin Farrel—is actually a gay blog that is also an interactive marketing platform that connects the community with gay-friendly companies. Besides spotlighting a company each day, viewers get very interesting news items (“British Prime Minister To Ban Same-Sex Kisses On TV Before 9 PM,” which was under the “Oh Hell No” category).

—Stevie Nicks’ In Your Dreams: In Your Dreams is Nicks’ seventh studio album—and is probably one of her best. Produced primarily by former Eurythmic Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, the CD features 13 tracks, including “Soldier’s Angel” (with the man she’s called the love of her life, Fleetwood Mac bandmate Lindsey Buckingham).

—NBC show The Voice (Tuesdays) : I wasn’t sure how I’d take to another singing competition—but this show is definitely different from American Idol and the upcoming series X Factor. For one thing, the singers showcased are all serious about the craft, and are all talented. Also, the judges (Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton) are mentors, as they bid to have singers on their teams—and now the singers are in the battle round, where two team members sing the same song simultaneously, with the mentor eliminating one. Shelton needs to stop those reported anti-gay antics, but otherwise this show is a beaut.
