Compañeros details how 80 gay, bisexual, and transgender (GBT) Latino activists and volunteers living in Chicago and San Francisco have been touched or transformed by the AIDS epidemic.
The event is at 6:30 p.m., 3656 N. Halsted, $5 donation.
The Center on Halsted will host an event Nov. 3 to celebrate publication of Compañeros: Latino Activists in the Face of AIDS, by Jesus Ramirez-Valles, a professor of community health sciences at the University of Illinois, Chicago.
