The National Queer Asian Pacific Islander Alliance and Chicago i2i “Coming Out” social, held on Saturday, April 21, 2012, was attended by NQAPIA national board members, i2i members and local Chicago friends. Board members were here for their annual in-person board meeting.

NQAPIA Co-Chairs Alison Lin, Philadelphia, and Chicago native Phill Ozaki welcomed everyone and board members Joy Messinger, Chicago, and Mandy Hu, California, choose the raffle winner.

About 50 people, including a large number of young people, came out for the social, held at at Jaks Tap in Greektown. The event was a fundraiser to help students and people on limited incomes attend the NQAPIA Conference in Washington, D.C. in July.
