For over 30 years, Proud To Run (PTR), Chicago’s Pride Weekend 5 & 10K run, has given over $300,000 back to the LGBT community. Applications from organizations are now being accepted for next year’s beneficiaries.
For the 2013 Proud To Run event, the PTR Board of Directors will consider applications from organizations that serve the Chicago area GLBT community, clearly define the need or have a project with a specific timeline and budget; are community based and driven, and are “Grassroots” in nature or do not receive a large part of their budget from state or federal grants.
Guidelines and application form are available on the PTR website, www.proudtorun.org or by emailing proudtorun@yahoo.com. Deadline to submit an application is October 30, 2012.
