Halsted Halloween Parade 2012 in photos

The 16th annual Halloween parade kicked off on Halsted Street changing the route to south instead of north. The theme was Apocalypse, which was fitting after certain weather conditions around the world. The weather was cold but the Salvation Army was on hand to warm attendees with hot chocolate and hot dogs for free with a truck parked in a nearby lot. Marching from Circuit Nightclub costumers were judged by reality show stars from Chicagolicious Macray Huff and Katrell Mendenhall. Local fave Miss Foozie walked with the pets then hosted the main stage entertainment at the CTA turnaround at Belmont where the Chicago Spirit Brigade jumped in the air for donations and the Chicago Fire Tribe hula hooped with flames. Costumes ranged from Big Bird to Iron Man with lots of Mexican Day of the Dead face painting this year.
