Former Chicago playwright Rebecca Gilman continued to solidify her esteemed reputation with her tense 2001 drama Boy Gets Girl, which shows what happens when a seemingly harmless blind date turns into a harrowing stalker situation for the character of Theresa Bedell. Boy Gets Girl continues through Saturday, March 2, at the Raven Theatre, 6157 N. Clark St. Performances are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, 3:30 p.m. Sundays. A special “Out at Raven” event for the LGBTQ community is 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, with a pre-show wine and appetizer reception and a post-show discussion with director Cody Estle and members of the cast.
