In Oregon, gay teenager Jadin Bell died after a suicide attempt that took place in the schoolyard of an elementary school, RawStory.com reported.

Bell hung himself Jan. 19, but was taken off life support Jan. 29. Family and friends said the boy was the target of vicious bullying, both at school and online. Bell had reportedly begged his parents for home-schooling; when that failed, he appealed to school administrators for help. Oregon Health and Science University spokesman confirmed that Jadin Bell died early Feb. 3 at the Portland hospital, the Huffington Post noted.
