The French Pastry School of Kennedy-King College held its annual fundraiser, “For the Love of Chocolate Gala 2013,” Feb. 23, this time moving the location to the Union League Club of Chicago (from the Merchandise Mart the previous year).

Floors were filled with sweets and liquor stops—the latter including chocolate peppermint martinis. The Cocoa Coutures Fashion Show had edible outfits from representatives from Trump, Bluedog and Pierre’s Bakery, among other collaborators.

The gala lasted for more than four hours and included dinner for VIP ticket holders. There were many sponsors, from Blackbird to Vosges Chocolate. ZED451 provided popcorn, and Circle City Soups had sandwiches to keep everyone snacking.

For entertainment, Anacron kept the crowd dancing with his turntables, and Papo Santiago and Infraverde made it a salsa night thanks to the live band.

Jelly Belly offered guests a hand-selected bag of its samples before exiting the building.
