The Chicago Philharmonic Society (CPS) announced the appointment of Scott Speck as its new artistic director.
Speck is currently music director of the Joffrey Ballet, the Mobile Symphony and the West Michigan Symphony. His tenure will begin June 1.
Speck has held positions as conductor of the San Francisco Ballet, music advisor and conductor of the Honolulu Symphony, and associate conductor of the Los Angeles Opera.
