—Game of Thrones, season three: It’s a mix of the old and the new with this HBO show, whose newest season started March 31. While the battling is continuing, there are new characters, creatures, alliances and plotlines—some with astonishing (and cringe-worthy) twists and turns. After seeing the first few episodes, I have two words: Beware Daenerys. (By the way, HBO has already renewed the show for a fourth season.)

—Green Zebra restaurant (www.GreenZebraChicago.com): Being a hardcore carnivore, I was initially hesitant about this vegetarian restaurant, located at 1460 W. Chicago Ave. However, chef Shawn McCain has done it again, with dishes includes creamy sunchoke soup, smoked salsify risotto, sweet potato crepes and roasted pear tart.

—Jimmybar! energy bars (jimmybars.com): Selling out in a few places around Chicago, the dairy- and gluten-free bars are not taste-free. Among the flavors are No Bluffin’ Banana Muffin and How ‘Bout Dem Apples.

—The April 5 episodes of Happy Endings: This criminally underseen ABC show (set in Chicago) will actually air two episodes this Friday. The first episode of the comedy will be especially gay; not only is one of the main characters a Friend of Dorothy, but RuPaul will guest-star as a stylist.

—Justin Timberlake’s The 20/20 Experience: After a musical hiatus of several years (his last album was 2006’s FutureSex/LoveSounds), Justin Timberlake returns with the CD The 20/20 Experience. As evidenced by lead single “Suit & Tie,” the album is smooth, polished and soulful.
