All Groups Gay Picnic, sponsored by the West Suburban Gay Association, will be held Sunday, August 25, noon until dusk in the Busse Woods Forest Preserve Grove 31, Schaumburg.
WSGA welcomes all Chicagoland GLBT groups to the annual event at the intersection of I-90 and I-290 in Schaumburg.
Some Chicagoland gay associations participating are the Lincoln Park Lagooners, Asians & Friends, Kane County Group, Rainbow Brunch, Oak Park Gay & Lesbian Association, PFLAG, West Suburban Gay Association.
Meet new friends. Renew old acquaintances. Bring some food, some drink, a guest or two, your own lawn chair, and just have fun! Grills will be available. Alcohol is permitted, but glass containers are prohibited in the Forest Preserve. Free event.
Directions: Busse Woods is conveniently located at the junction of I-90 and I-290 in Schaumburg. Exit I-290 at Higgins Road going east. Take the FIRST LEFT entrance into Busse Woods; the entrance sign says “Busse Forest West.” The All Groups Picnic is at Grove/Shelter 31 beside a beautiful pond.
