Windy City Gay Idol contest rocks Crew

Windy City Gay Idol, now it the 11th year of competition for top amateur gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender (GLBT) singers in the Chicago area, continued Thursday, May 23 at Crew.

Idol preliminary competitions are one-night-only at various bars. As many as 20 participants sing at each venue, all contestants competing for the chance to advance to the semi-finals Saturday, June 15 at Sidetrack, 3349 N. Halsted.

The 2013 Windy City Gay Idol Premium sponsor is Smirnoff. Other Sponsors include Ketel One, Tanqueray, Don Julio, Mini of Chicago, Creaoke, Broadway in Chicago, American Airlines, and SpeedPro Printing.

The contest is presented by Windy City Media Group, publishers of Windy City Times and Nightspots.
