Christopher Beck served as a U.S. Navy SEAL in some of the most dangerous battlegrounds in the world, including Iraq and Afghanistan and earned medals and commendations including the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart
But for 20 years while fighting for this country, Beck was also fighting an inner battle. Beck wanted to live life as a woman.
After retiring in 2011, Beck did just that. Chris Beck is now Kristin Beck.
Beck has been all over the media this week, promoting her memoir, Warrior Princess: A U.S. Navy SEAL’s Journey to Coming out Transgender.
This week she spoke with Anderson Cooper about the transition from being a male Navy SEAL to a woman.
