“A Magnificent Taste”—a part of The Magnificent Mile Shopping Festival—will take place Tuesday, Aug. 27, 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Pioneer Court, 401 N. Michigan Ave.
“Taste” will raise funds for Common Threads, a Chicago-based organization dedicated to educating children from low-income families on the importance of nutrition. Chef Art Smith and husband Jesus Salgueiro started the organization.
Guests will sip and sample seasonal creations from well-known chefs, including Smith, Oprah Winfrey’s former personal chef and author, and Top Chef Masters Season 1 winner and author Rick Bayless.
General-admission tickets can be purchased for $125 and VIP for $200; the latter will include an exclusive meet-and-greet reception with Art Smith and Rick Bayless 5:30 p.m.-6:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased at tinyurl.com/2013AMagTaste.
