Formerly Mrs. Park’s Tavern, The Local has only been around since last December but has already made a mark, thanks in part to its Americana theme. Patrons will find red, white and blue everywhere—on the walls, the servers, etc.
The Local has also distinguished itself with a nontraditional approach to traditional food. Serving (what else?) contemporary American fare, the restaurant/bar specializes in many dishes, including jalapeno cornbread, lobster quesadilla, roast prime rib (with au jus and creamy horseradish sauce), Alaskan halibut with corn risotto, and Oreo mint ice cream pie.
In addition, The Local is open 6:30 a.m.-2 a.m. seven days a week—making it the perfect late-night stop.
