A marriage-equality town hall and rally will take place Wed., Sept. 18, at 7 p.m. in the Foxboro Room of the Carleton Hotel, 1110 Pleasant St., Oak Park.

Illinois Unites for Marriage—a coalition of Equality Illinois, Lambda Legal and the ACLU—and several supporting constituent groups will introduce their senior staff and discuss their plan for moving forward the marriage-equality bill currently stalled in the Illinois House.

Organizing for Action (Oak Park Chapter) and the Oak Park Area Lesbian and Gay Association (OPALGA) are co-sponsoring the events.
