By Women for Women is hosting an art/fashion/engagement event Friday, Oct. 11 at the Crystal Gardens at Navy Pier. It will feature hors d’oeuvres by LGBTQ Chef Nancy Duran and Phil Stefani Events, cocktails, interactive art show by Sam Kirk, fashion show featuring top local designers, a live musical performance by electric violinists The CoverGirls, and a silent auction to benefit Affinity Community Service and Amigas Latinas.
“Community Leader Awards” will be presented to Vernita Gray & Pat Ewert and Alma Izquierdo for their efforts in advancing the LGBTQ community.
The event is 6 p.m. to midnight. $75 includes admission, soft drinks, wine, beer, and hors d’oeurves; $100 includes admission, premium cocktails, soft drinks, wine, beer, and hors d’oeuvres.
