The LGBT Immigrant Rights Coalition of Chicago in Little Village is to host a community forum in Little Village Nov. 19, from 6 until 8pm.

The forum will cover issues that are of importance to LGBT immigrants, especially since the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) has been struck down.

Cook County Commissioner Garcia is planning to attend and and make opening remarks. Adolfo Hernandez, Director of the Mayor’s Office of New Americans will, also participate. Co-sponsored by Mujeres Latinas en Accion, Association of Latino Men for Action (ALMA), and Lambda Legal. LV Mujeres Latina en Accion and Instituto de Progresso Latino’s Social Justice High School are partnering in the event.
