Miller Lite and Hailo are teaming up to prevent drunk driving by giving away $1 million in cab rides in Chicago this holiday season. Through Jan. 5, 2014, participants can obtain a $10 Hailo discount code by visiting select bars throughout the city where Miller Lite is served. To redeem the code, simply download the Hailo app, enter the code and use it to summon a taxi.
The Hailo partnership in Chicago is part of MillerCoors largest drunk driving prevention program to date: together, the companies are providing $3 million worth of cab rides throughout the holiday season in Chicago, Boston and New York.
Miller Lite is also the sponsor of the Chicago Transit Authority’s Penny Rides program. Free rides will be available on all CTA bus and train routes on New Year’s Eve, beginning at 10 p.m. until 4 a.m.
Chicagoans who take advantage of the Miller Lite Hailo or CTA safe ride services can share their plans to #CelebrateSafe during the holidays by posting a photo of themselves and their 21+ crew via Twitter or Facebook.
