On May 17, Goodman Theatre held its annual gala this time at a location that had not been used for the fundraiser in years: the Hilton Chicago.
The night started with a cocktail hour; then, there was a sit-down dinner that had “Dreaming” as the theme. The dining room was pumped full of clouds while an orchestra played songs with “dream” in the title for the high-rolling donors. Broadway’s Kristin Chenoweth sang songs from her appearance on Glee as well as Wicked for guests.
Proceeds from the night’s event benefitted Goodman Theatre’s education and community-engagement programs.
