Col. Jennifer Pritzker’s Tawani Enterprises has followed purchasing vintage homes in Evanston and Rogers Park by buying two 19th-century homes in Chicago’s Gold Coast area, according to ChicagoBusiness.com.
One property is a four-story limestone row house on State Street, purchased May 2 for $1.75 million. The other is a red brick Italianate row house built in 1882 on Chestnut Street; the last transaction involving this property valued it at $2.07 million.
According to its website, Tawani “is an evolving private wealth-management company established to manage personal wealth, philanthropic endeavors, and military interests of Colonel (IL) J.N. Pritzker IL ARNG (Retired).”
Pritzker, who is transgender, will receive the Frank Kameny Award during the National LGBT Bar Association’s 2014 Lavender Law Conference, to be held Aug. 21-23 in New York City.
