The Oak Park Area Lesbian and Gay Association (OPALGA) and Lakeside Pride Freedom Marching Band once again marched in the Oak Park Fourth of July Parade.

For several years, both organizations have appeared together at this Oak Park tradition, according to a press release.

Lakeside Pride entertained spectators with a medley of Armed Forces songs, Pharrell Williams’ “Happy” and Sister Sledge’s “We Are Family.”

Oak Park also hosted a fireworks display at dusk at Oak Park River Forest High School.
