Steve Grand—the openly gay local singer-songwriter who, in 2013, spent $7,000 of his own money to produce a music video for the song “All American Boy,” and became a viral sensation—will debut his album (also called All American Boy) on March 24.
Fueled by donations from nearly 5,000 fans, Grand (a former Windy City Times 30 Under 30 honoree) raised more than $325,000 in what became third most funded music project in Kickstarter history.
OUT Magazine shared the news of the new release with a live performance video of Grand performing “All-American Boy.”
Songs on the 13-track CD include “Whiskey Crime,” “Next To Me,” “Back to California,” “Soaking Wet” and the title track.
