The W Hotel and the Human Rights Campaign (HRC), in partnership with The Lesbifriends Cartel and Cramer PR & Events, brought the “Turn It Up for Change” event to Chicago on June 13.
“Turn It Up For Change: Love Has No Limit” is a campaign to promote equality through the power of music. Led by W Hotels and HRC, TIUFC is about raising the volume on the battle for marriage equality in the United States, and raising funds to support the ongoing struggle for LGBT equality.
The theme of the evening was “Casino Royale,” and guests were encouraged to bring out their inner Pussy Galore, James Bond, Le Chiffre and other Royale-les-Eaux looks to the 007 Gala. The guest tried their luck at casino games like roulette, blackjack, slot machines and poker. Of course, no cash was exchanged, as it was all just for fun and laughs. There was even a top-secret mission, in which the winner won a night’s stay at the W Hotel.
The evening’s entertainment included 007 Burlesque Stripteases by Jeez Loueez, The Powerhouse of the Midwest Ray Gunn and a birthday striptease surprise by Miss Tosh. There were also performances from entertainers such as Birthday Girl Sissy Spastik in addition to DJ sets by DJ Duo Redux and DJ All the Way Kay (Lesbifriends).
