Marking 30 years of service had the organization breaking down more doors with a Jan. 13 fundraiser at Architectural Artifacts, Inc. in the Ravenswood area. Titled “Another Door Opens,” attendees witnessed the work of 30 designers who refurbished antique doors from around Chicago.
Used doors were creatively changed into tables, headboards or just decorative hanging pieces placed around the space. Bidders were able to text or fill out bid sheets on the artistic doors to take one home that evening. Ticket buyers enjoyed a DJ’d music, cocktails and a hearty buffet while benefiting this long-running program.
