This month’s theme was “Jai Ho: Summer Sutra.” It was a packed house as everyone enjoyed South Asian dance music by DJ VoxBox and performances by local South Asian/Desi Drag Queens. The night also served as a fundraiser to help Trikone Chicago raise funds to support programs for the South Asian LGBTQI community in Chicago. Other Trikone Chicago events include potluck dinners throughout the year.
Trikone Chicago is a not-for-profit organization that provides safe social spaces and serves as a peer-support network for queer, trans, and gender-nonconforming individuals of South Asian/Desi heritage in the Chicagoland area. Trikone Chicago hosts a range of open public events and social gatherings that foster a sense of community and promote an understanding of intersectional identities.
