The Chicago Gay Men’s Chorus (CGMC) will perform its “Great Gaymerican Songbook” concerts Sept. 16-17.
On Sept. 16, the show will take place at Oak Brook’s Mayslake Peabody Estate at 7:30 p.m. On Sept. 17, CGMC will sing at Chicago’s Uptown Underground at 8 and 10 p.m.
The annual fall cabaret will feature several performers with duets, solos, and some original music. The show is a gay pun on the Great American Songbook and honors the last 100 years of music by openly gay artists such as Stephen Sondheim, Jennifer Knapp, Cole Porter, Sam Smith, Melissa Etheridge, Lesley Gore and more.
