Common Threads—a non-profit organization that provides hands-on cooking and nutrition education to children from underserved communities—is celebrating its second annual Cooking for Life month this January.

In support of Cooking for Life Month, organizations, restaurants and chefs across the country will be offering special charitable promotions, events and awareness campaigns. Participating restaurants and local businesses include Eataly Chicago, DineAmic Group, The Chopping Block, Owen and Alchemy, Sunda, Kanela Breakfast Club, Belly Q, Bottlefork, Cochon Volant Brasserie, Enolo Wine Cafe, Farmhouse, MAK Restaurant, Milk and Honey Café, Barry’s Bootcamp Chicago & Myredbag.

Additionally, Common Threads is teaming with celebrity chefs Michelle Bernstein, JJ Johnson and Richard Ingraham on a special Facebook like-to-win giveaway. For three winners, Common Threads will fly one of these chefs to cook his/her family a private healthy dinner in their homes. To enter to win, “like” the Common Threads Facebook page—www.facebook.com/CThreads/—throughout January.
