Chicago Auto Show through Feb. 20

North America’s largest auto show, the Chicago Auto Show, is taking place through Feb. 20 at McCormick Place, 2301 S. Lake Shore Dr.

This year’s event spans more than 1 million square feet of floor space of the McCormick Place complex and displays multiple world and North American introductions and a complete range of almost 1,000 domestic and imported passenger cars, trucks, sport-utility vehicles, minivans and concept cars. (In addition, almost 4,000 journalists were expected to cover this year’s show.)

Admission is $13 for adults, $7 for seniors age 62 and older as well as children ages 7-12, and free for children 0-6.

In addition to the public show, First Look for Charity has also taken place. It took Feb. 10, and is expected to raise more than $2 million annually to benefit 18 local charities, including Special Olympics Illinois and Jesse White Tumblers.

Special days scheduled for this year include Women’s Day (Feb. 15) and Hispanic Heritage Day (Feb. 17).
