Former U.S. House Speaker Dennis Hastert, 75, has been released from the Rochester Federal Medical Center in Minnesota.

He spent the last 13 months there for breaking the law while trying to hide his past sexual abuse of teenage boys, records revealed. HIs official release date was Aug. 16.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported that Hastert is under the supervision of a residential re-entry management field office based in Chicago. That means he is likely at a halfway house in the region that the Bureau of Prisons is monitoring, or he is on home confinement.

Hastert had admitted to arranging significant withdrawals from his bank account so as steer clear of federal reporting requirements. The withdrawals were to buy the silence of a man who claimed to have been molested by Hastert when the politician was still a coach and teacher in Yorkville, Illinois, decades ago. At least four other individuals made the same allegations.
