Center on Halsted/Mystery Writers of America host a panel of Mystery Writers of America, Midwest Chapter authors who write LGBTQIA-focused novels to raise funds for Center on Halsted Sept. 28, 2017, 7:30 p.m., 3656 N Halsted, Chicago.

The panel consists of Ohio debut author Kristen Lepionka, whose The Last Place You Look is getting a lot of buzz, as well as Chicago mystery authors Renee James, Marshall Thornton, Anne Laughlin and Mark Zubro. The panel will be moderated by publicist and author Dana Kaye, also from Chicago.

The panel will talk about writing LGBTQ characters, “own voices” LGBTQ stories, publishing with the mainstream and outside of it, and other topics.

Suggested donation of $10 goes to Center on Halsted programs; there will be books for sale (signed by the authors) by Women and Children First Bookstore.
