The 24-hour horror-movie marathon known as “Music Box of Horrors” will return to the Music Box Theatre, 3733 N. Southport Ave., on Saturday, Oct. 7, at noon.
Along the films that will be shown, there will be tributes to horror-film directors George Romero and Tobe Hooper. Some of the movies slated to run include Land of the Dead (2005), The Cat and the Canary (1928), In the Mouth of Madness (1994), Hellraiser (1987), Ginger Snaps (2000) and Freddy’s Dead: The Final Nightmare (1991).
Director Mariano Baino will appear live at The Music Box Theatre to conduct a Q&A after his film, Dark Waters.
This year’s food trucks include Viet Nom-Nom, Empanada Girl and Taco in a Bag; Kitley’s Crypt, House of Movie Monsters, Severin Films and tattoo artist Chloe Pinnock are some of the vendors slated to appear.
