Former Illinois Gov. Patrick Quinn is tossing his hat back into the political ring, having announced that he is running next year for attorney general, the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
“I want to be the lawyer for the people,” Quinn said.
Other announced or potential candidates include state Sen. Kwame Raoul, state Rep. Scott Drury, former Chicago Civilian Office of Police Accountability chief administrator Sharon Fairley, Metropolitan Water Reclamation Board President Mariyana Spyropoulos, Chicago Park District Board President Jesse Ruiz and Highland Park Mayor Nancy Rotering.
