The Joffrey Academy of Dance, the official school of The Joffrey Ballet, has announced the recipients of the eighth annual Winning Works Choreographic Competition: Telmo Moreira, Omar Romón De Jesus, Claudia Schreier and Luis Vazquez.

This announcement followed a national call for African, Latino(a), Asian, Arab and Native American artists to submit applications, which began in June. The choreographers’ world-premiere works will be showcased on the members of the Joffrey Studio Company and the Joffrey Academy Trainee Program.

“Winning Works” returns to the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago’s Edlis Neeson Theater, 220 E. Chicago Ave., for three performances March 3-4, 2018. Tickets for “Winning Works” are $25; visit Joffrey.org/winningworks.
