On Monday, April 23, at 6 p.m., Barrie Jean Borich and Jeremy Mulderig will read from and discuss their latest books, Apocalypse, Darling and The Lost Autobiography of Samuel Steward at The Seminary Co-op Bookstore in Hyde Park, 5751 S. Woodlawn Ave.

Set in the steel-mill regions of Chicago and northwest Indiana, Apocalypse, Darling centers on Borich’s return to a decimated landscape for a wedding in which her spouse’s father marries his high school sweetheart. Borich is the award-winning author of Body Geographic and My Lesbian Husband.

In The Lost Autobiography of Samuel Steward, Mulderig has integrated Steward’s truncated published text with the text of the original manuscript to create the first extended version of Steward’s autobiography to appear in print. Mulderig is an emeritus professor of English at DePaul University and the editor of Philip Sparrow Tells All: Lost Essays by Samuel Steward, Writer, Professor, Tattoo Artist.
