More than 150 people participated in the event, gathering at Pells Park for an hour of music and mingling before marching down Orleans Street to the downtown area.
Tyger McClure said he organized the event because all LGBTQ people—no matter where they live—need and deserve love.
Paxton is situated at the junction of Interstate 57, US Highway 45 and Illinois Route 9, and is 30 miles from the University of Illinois, according to the town’s website.
