Chicago Jazz Philharmonic (CJP), under the direction of artistic director and co-founder Orbert Davis, will conclude its second year of the series entitled “Chicago Immigrant Stories” on Monday, July 22, at Millennium Park, 6:30-8:30 p.m.
The July 22 performance is a culmination of a series of alliances and workshops with musicians from Chicago’s Greek, Mexican, Bulgarian and Argentinian communities.
The performance is the last of a three-part series that kicked off with Athanasios Zervas on Jan. 24 at the National Hellenic Museum in Greektown (West Loop). It continued Feb. 21 at the National Museum of Mexican Art in Pilsen.
