U.S. Soccer announced the women’s national team will play South Korea on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 1 p.m. at Soldier Field in the final match of the victory tour celebrating the Americans’ World Cup title, The Chicago Tribune noted.
It will be the last U.S. match coached by Jill Ellis, who announced earlier this week she is stepping down after leading the team to back-to-back World Cup titles in 2015 and 2019. After retiring, Ellis will spend more time with her wife, Betsy Stephenson, with whom she has a 14-year-old daughter, Lily.
Tickets for the match will be available starting at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 9, at http://USSoccer.com.
