The Edgewater Chamber of Commerce will host its annual International Women’s Day Crawl throughout various women-owned businesses along Broadway’s northern corridor between Granville and Thorndale avenues on Sunday, March 8, 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

This event supports women’s rights by celebrating Women’s Day with Edgewater’s many women-owned businesses within the community.

This fundraising event will donate a portion of its ticket sales to the local nonprofit Loom Chicago in spirit of the global movement’s message of #EachforEqual. Loom Chicago is a fiber arts social enterprise with Catholic Charities Refugee Resettlement Program.

Among the participating businesses are Farm Bar, Chicago Mosaic School, Edge of Sweetness, Bark Bark Club and Ethiopian Diamond. (More will be added closer to the event date.) Other women-run businesses providing hands-on activities this year the crawl stops are SmackDab, Greenstar Brewery, Work +Shelter and Loom Chicago.
