Former President Barack Obama.

On April 14, former President Barack Obama offered a video endorsement of his close confidant and friend, former Vice President Joe Biden.

“Choosing Joe to be my vice president was one of the best decisions I ever made, and he became a close friend,” Obama said in the video, according to the Chicago Tribune. “And I believe Joe has all the qualities we need in a president right now.”

This endorsement came the day after U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders—Biden’s last remaining opponent in the Democratic primary—officially supported Biden’s campaign in a joint video conference.
